The mission of the Division of
Environmental Science & Engineering (ESE) is to
create a quality education, research and service program
in pursuit of program goals.
Specific mission statements
as established are:

To provide quality engineering
education and to nurture engineers with a global
outlook and passion for innovation, who can lead
teams and apply knowledge creatively across
functional boundaries;

To be a leading source of
research advancements in environmental engineering
and active in the generation of innovative
technologies, products and processes by advancing
frontiers of engineering knowledge;

To provide leadership in
fostering interdisciplinary education and research
programs fundamental to solving the problems facing
a complex society;

To be a program-of-choice for
talented students, capable researchers, outstanding
faculty and high quality staff with interests in the
entrepreneurial pursuit of science and technology
for advancement and well-being of people and the
environment in our global society.
